The first theme explored is Light and Shadow
As participants enter the space, visitors will be greeted by dark rooms, illuminated with tools for interaction, self-discovery, and play. There are opportunities to interact with both white and black light, glow-in-the-dark puppets, translucent materials, as well as chase shadows on the walls while fluorescent balloons cover the floor. The objective of the event is to engage in unstructured play which encourages critical thinking-the goal being to entice the child to question, to probe, to build problem-solving abilities at an early age and to have some fun.

What parents are saying
I wanted to say thank you for such a spectacular event on Sunday! My daughter, Alejandra, and I had so much fun...she especially enjoyed playing in the black room...this was the first time she was allowed to mark up her face, arms and mine:) We look forward to upcoming events!”
-Jacquie, mom
“Is there a date set for the next PLAY day LA???? Can’t wait! Fun today thanks.”
-Susie Brubaker Gublet
“Eleanor talked about the flashlights for hours afterwards and the staff did a marvelous job coaxing her into the glow room and helping her adjust we spent almost 30 min in there and every inch of my hands and arms is covered in highlighter! She describes it as “a little cold and a little wet pen”.
-Courtney, mom
“We had such an amazing time in LA- I had no idea that a bright light and shadow would keep my son Will enthralled for so long- it was great! Please come back soon!”
-Annette
“Thanks for thinking of this- it is a great idea. The early schedule and DJ were nicely done! See you next time.”
Rebecca, mom of Cody, 4
“I have heard things about this...how do we get you to come to Texas? Thanks!”
